Continued from Part 7

Talk about "infowars"... Ok, so here we are to the part where Jones gets pissed at Rense and Anderson cancels Rense's program.

I still am amazed that things went down the way they did. But, they did.

I'm just going to take it as it went for me. I am laying it all out here, I have no reason not to, it is what it is.

The actions of these three men, and their associates, have affected me and many of my friends and countless listeners and sponsors and other programmers at GCN greatly; and not in a positive way.
It is just flat wrong.

Jeff, you can be angry if you want, been there, done that with you before.

Alex, you can rant and scream and sue me if you want, I have no control over that. Ted, I don't give a flying flip what you think, you have proven your character to me. Go send out some more dirty silver dollars and write another check to Clear Channel. It is what it is. You are acting like "them".

On Tuesday, March 23, 2009 I was at work, in my office, listening to GCN while I worked. Jones' program came on and I was in and out of the office, so I didn't hear the program start to finish. I guess it would have been about mid-way through the broadcast I noticed that Alex seemed volatile. He raises his voice so much anymore and gets all growly at times, I know; but that day seemed a bit more intense than usual.

When I took my break, I checked out the headlines on Rense and saw the link (let's say that again here, it's important) the LINK to this story. Immediately I went, "Oh, oh." in my head.

The reason for Alex's excited manner was suddenly obvious. I started reading some of the comments. Nothing new as far as Alex Jones questions go...is his wife a jew?...complaints about censorship on the Prison Planet message board... that Alex is an agent... that Jones denies the obvious ownership and control of Hollywood by Jews...that Alex is a zionist shill in disguise. (I don't capitalize the "z" word, they don't deserve a capital letter) ...blah, blah, blah, yada, yada, yada.

I'm thinking to myself, well, Alex is certainly not going to like this. But, being accustomed to Internet "attacks" and such over the years myself, I saw that this was not that unusual to have happen to a talk show host "going after" the NWO. I thought Rense probably posted it without a problem considering the way Alex had bailed on the Rense program and guest issues between the programs. There have been reported differences with other GCN programmers and Alex, and Rense was getting email about the article when it went up. It was news.

I figured Alex would either reply to whatever accusations exist of importance to him, or he would ignore the whole thing and chalk it up to being in the kitchen. Mainly because "free" speech means "free" for everyone, whether we agree with them, or not. Journalism is understanding that.

I can see why Alex would be irritated. I mean, this is not the first time these concerns have been brought up regarding Alex's program; just like Rense is always accused of anti-semitism or of being (there it is again) an "agent." People can screw up all on their own, ya know? They don't have to be agents to do it. Look at me, I'm writing these pages aren't I? (ha!) Don't you think I'm going to have a barrel full of fun filled email after these pages come out? You betcha. Can hardly wait...NOT!

I can understand why the article that caused all the problems was written; if the questions that seem to keep coming up are not addressed, and behavior on the Jones show indicates further checking. Personally, so what if the wife is Jewish, that's not the point. The concern is, is she and or he, a zionist? If she is Jewish, she should not be very happy with the way zionists are messing with her faith, but that's on her. The other issues go the same way. The Jones couple either chooses to address them, or they don't. Either way, they are now public figures and they should expect to be written about and get some flack...the rest of us have been taking it for years, they're not that special that they get to miss out on that. But, just like for the rest of us, the flack doesn't give one an excuse to behave badly.

I digress.

I emailed Jeff and he said that he had gotten a lot of mail about the article and that Alex was upset. That didn't surprize me. I checked out the comments section below the article and forgot about it.

I tune back in to the Jones show and find Alex cranked up about three more notches than the day before. I thought to myself, well, apparently Alex has been getting a lot of emails, too.

I kept waiting for him to address it. He didn't. Instead he started yelling at "morons" and then kept apologizing for his increased volume. He said, more than once, "I am trying not to go into overdrive here." I knew darn well he had most likely reached overdrive long before he got on the air that day.

I happened to get out early that day and was home before 4 pm Central time. I booted up my computer, checked a couple emails and sent one to Jeff saying something to the effect of "Geez, Alex is really worked up, he was frantic on the show and I don't think it was about what he was talking about." Within minutes I got a reply from Jeff saying that Alex had just called him and he was over the top angry and yelling at Jeff. The timing was such that Alex had to have called Jeff right after he got off the air from his "transmission" that day.

Jeff said that he had not heard from Alex since November of 2008. Jeff was upset because he said that Alex was screaming stuff like going to "the corner of the internet" if Jeff wanted a "war". Jeff offered to take the link down, but Alex wouldn't have it. It wasn't enough. "It's too late, it's already all over the net."

Alex's emotional stability was questioned by the way the call went down, and judging by the state Alex was in when he was on the air, he couldn't have calmed down much before making the call to Rense. Not in the time it took me to drive from work to my house and get email, that's for sure. The guy was beyond upset.

I had also gotten an email from Jeff saying that Ted Anderson wanted him to take the link to the story down. Anderson wanted Jeff to remove a LINK from the Rense.com headlines. I found that to be a terrific demonstration of hypocracy on Anderson's part. He was asking Rense to censor his own site, because Ted asked him to. Shame on you Ted, and I am not kidding.

I remember that I told Rense not to take the link down. I mean, WTF? Really?!?!?! Who the heck do Anderson and Jones think they are?

I thought of Katherine Albrecht whom I "met" and have supported since 2004 when I interviewed her for the first time for Houston Independent Media Center. She now had a program on GCN, what would she think of this action on Anderson's part? How would she feel if Anderson came to her to ask her to remove something from her website? How many other GCN programmers have been "asked" to remove, or not reveal information at the whim of Ted Anderson and/or Alex Jones? I can see getting ticked off about such an article, but censorship, internetwork, behind the public eye? The naked lady dancing on the other side of the door? Let's just say I was pissed.

I digress... again. Sorry, this is not pleasant.

Jeff wrote back saying he was going to take down the link. He also told me he was very upset and was filing a police report regarding the phone call to document it. I have known Jeff for a dozen years. He has had various types of harassment over that time, a few of them pretty serious. I was not surprised that Rense filed a police report. This was not the first time I had known him to do so. Contrary to some so-called "reports", Rense never filed any kind of charges or threatened to pursue any legal action against Jones. I can't say the same for Jones.

I replied that I didn't agree, but it was his call. Jeff then wrote back that Anderson had contacted Jeff and told him...are you ready?...Ted told Jeff that he was being cancelled. Which meant that very night, whatever Rense guest was scheduled would not be aired, a re-broadcast NOT of Jeff's choosing would be played. Encores, again not of Rense's choosing, would be played until Jeff could get himself set up elsewhere. Again, I ask, Ted, Alex... WTF?!?!?!?!

So now, we don't just have egos going beserk, we now have censorship and manipulation and the effective silencing of an "independent" journalist on a network that claims to fight the NWO and support fellow warriors in the battle.

Was it a coincidence that on my way home in the car yesterday I heard yet another Midas Resources commercial on Houston's local afternoon drive-time Clear Channel station? I had already heard one before I left for work in the morning. What Ted, the "patriot" potential customer base not good enough utilizing independent networks? I would think the rates are lower, you could spread it around. Or is it something else? Just can't walk your talk? Alex not drawing what you need? I suppose so if you don't mind kicking a programmer off your network to keep your biggest sales driver happy. In addition, you apparently don't mind giving money to Clear Channel.

And don't give me the fake "we're breaking through" cheer. Anyone with the bucks per minute that Clear Channel wants will "break through" to that commercial time. Again, WTF?

In general I was dealing with the shocking way things were happening at GCN. I was not happy, by any means. I saw Jeff's statement about the thing. I quit listening to GCN. I was doing fine until I saw a link posted to the Jones statement concerning the situation. I listened to it. Not happy didn't begin to describe how I felt after I heard it. It was almost the complete reversal of what I had known had gone down, and the details of the history between the two. I had to say something, silence is consent.

Which brings me to the almost hardest part, so, here goes.....

"The Jones Statement, Part 1..."
